My impression of the rose I have blooming in my yard this week. We have had and abundance of rain and days warmer than usual for this time of the year. I was pleasantly surprised and thought it needed to become a small painting to brighten the rainy days.
My name is Barbara Pirkle and I discovered my passion for creating about 35 years ago. Recently I started painting full time, and Im truly enjoying myself. Most of my work is done in Acrylic on canvas or wood, Acrylic Enamel on old windows or metal, and Pastels. I am a native of Georgia and currently live about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Most of my subjects are taken from scenes in my area of the country. Other than an art class in high school and a few drawing classes several years ago, I'm basically self-taught and really love what I am doing now. Every day that I'm painting is a learning experience. Thank you for looking at my work.
