I love working with color and texture, this painting includes both. Water lily ponds are one of my favorite things to paint. This is my impression of one of the many scenes around Georgia during the spring and summer.
My name is Barbara Pirkle and I discovered my passion for creating about 35 years ago. Recently I started painting full time, and Im truly enjoying myself. Most of my work is done in Acrylic on canvas or wood, Acrylic Enamel on old windows or metal, and Pastels. I am a native of Georgia and currently live about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Most of my subjects are taken from scenes in my area of the country. Other than an art class in high school and a few drawing classes several years ago, I'm basically self-taught and really love what I am doing now. Every day that I'm painting is a learning experience. Thank you for looking at my work.
