It's been very cold here lately and I needed something to brighten my day. A lot of color and texture was just what I needed.
My name is Barbara Pirkle and I discovered my passion for creating about 35 years ago. Recently I started painting full time, and I’m truly enjoying myself. Most of my work is done in Acrylic on canvas or wood, Acrylic Enamel on old windows or metal, and Pastels. I am a native of Georgia and currently live about 40 miles north of Atlanta. Most of my subjects are taken from scenes in my area of the country. Other than an art class in high school and a few drawing classes several years ago, I'm basically self-taught and really love what I am doing now. Every day that I'm painting is a learning experience. Thank you for looking at my work.

You are right Barbara it has been cold, I moved form the Buford area to Kansas City MO. for a new job and it is really cold here. The artwork is great though and it is very warming. I like it a lot.
